ALL BLACKS TRAVEL FREE WHEELER OPTIONS are designed for the independent traveller who wants to do their own thing in the United Kingdom and Ireland in November 2008 but who needs to access guaranteed offi cial seated match tickets to the All Blacks Test matches. All Blacks Travel has been licensed by the NZRU to sell match tickets packaged up with accommodation and/or flights for this very purpose.
The ALL BLACKS TRAVEL FREE WHEELER OPTION for New Zealand residents includes Economy Class fl ights from New Zealand to London and onto Edinburgh, then back from London to New Zealand. It also includes weekend hotel packages with match tickets and a minimum of a two night share twin/double accommodation in Edinburgh, Dublin, Cardiff or London.
The hotels are all modern, central and clean 2-3 star budget style hotels. We are familiar with these properties and have found them to be very acceptable for this type of package in the past. If you require a higher grade of hotel we can provide this at an extra cost.
If you are not residing in New Zealand, but are a New Zealand citizen holding a New Zealand Passport ALL BLACKS TRAVEL FREE WHEELER OPTION can offer the minimum package which is the two nights hotel accommodation with match tickets at the venue of your choice; Edinburgh, Dublin, Cardiff or London. Travelling to and from these venues is left for you to arrange, although we will be pleased to offer options and our services in this regard.
In Edinburgh, Dublin, Cardiff and London we will suggest a meeting point on the Friday afternoon and prior to the match on the Saturday for Free Wheelers to gather to meet other likeminded Free Wheeler travellers. These venues will be in informal settings like pubs or cafés and will not be organised or structured in any way. We have found these meeting points to be very popular with Free Wheelers in the past so it is something that we plan to continue and develop for this Tour in November 2008.
Details of the venues (names, directions, maps and timings) will be given to people who book along with their match tickets and hotel vouchers.
If required, we can arrange additional hotel accommodation, extra night stays, fl ights, car rental, train passes, a coach tour before, between or after the matches, or any other travel requirements you may have. We can recommend vacation rental accommodation throughout the UK and Ireland or elsewhere in France and Italy. We have access to a wide range of gites, villas and farm cottages in Europe.
For this ALL BLACKS TRAVEL FREE WHEELER OPTION we are recommending fl ights on Air New Zealand departing from NZ on Thursday 06 November, returning from London on Sunday 30 November – arriving back in NZ on Tuesday 02 December. However, you can nominate your own dates and fl ight routing and we can advise any difference in costs. To upgrade this option to Air New Zealand’s superb Premium Economy Class allow an additional $2,730 and to Air New Zealand’s acclaimed Business Premier Class with lie-fl at beds allow an additional $6,760 per person (subject to availability).

Finally, we have designed an ALL BLACKS TRAVEL ALTERNATIVE TOUR aimed at UK and European based New Zealanders who loosely fall into the 18 to 35 age bracket. It will be a hilarious two week odyssey tour led by ‘The Jedi’ – Jed Thian and his mates that takes in the Test in Edinburgh, visits Belfast, the test in Dublin, Limerick and the Test in Cardiff. The tour starts at London Kings Cross Station on Friday 07 November and ends back at London Paddington Station on Sunday 23 November. It includes tickets to all three Tests plus a ticket to the Twickenham Test against England the week later – 29 November.
Accommodation is
included as well as coach touring in Ireland and a function with
members of the All Blacks team. The price is GBP £2,435 per
person based on sharing a twin room (this equates to about
NZ$6,497 per person).
Jed Thian has earned for himself cult-like status with his hilarious
alternative Rugby commentaries of Test matches in the pubs of
Wellington over the past two winters. During the Rugby World Cup
in France in 2007 Jed provided his alternative commentary for key
RWC games through the Fairfax website; Rugby Heaven and his
